Perhentian Island, named as one of the most beautiful island in Southeast Asia, and in the world perhaps?
Well, you must think it's gonna cost you A LOT to visit a place like this but NO IT WASN'T. Me and my 3 other girlfriends went there with a really tight budget. Yet, we still enjoyed every seconds we being there.
We went to Perhentian Island under Yaudin's package offered during Malaysian Matta Fair March 2012.
Total package: RM220/pax.
Includes :
- 3D/2N stay at Fauna Beach Chalet (Located at Teluk Dalam, Perhentian Besar).
- Return boat Kuala Besut jetty <-> Fauna Beach Chalet.
- Snorkeling Trip + mask/gears (1x)
- BBQ Dinner (1x)
Excludes :
- Daily Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner.
- Marine Park (RM5/pax)
- Transportation to Kuala Besut Jetty (RM80/pax return bus from Kuala Lumpur)
Went there by bus. Departing from Kuala Lumpur around 10pm and arrived at Kuala Besut around 530am. Kuala Besut Bus Terminal is a walking distance to the jetty. so, no need to get a cab or whatsoever k? And upon arrival, we went to the nearby mosque. to perform the Subuh prayer and to freshen up.Around 730am, we continued our journey to get some breakfast.
*Budget Tip: the price (foods, souvenirs, drinks, junk-foods, almost everything) at the island will be double or triple the price from the mainland. Advisable to buy few mineral waters from the jetty for your daily consumption on the island.. :)
We got into our speedboat at 0930am. For the first timer like us, we screamed all the way everytime the boat hit the waves. It's like riding a roller-coaster yaw!Hahaha. It took almost an hour to arrived at our chalet.

Once arrived, we checked in, filled our stuffs inside the room, quick change and boom, straight away went to the beach which is exactly in front of our room. and yes, the beach is undoubtedly extremely beautiful! We booked the non A/C room with 2x queensize beds. NO TV/ NO WIFI. The nightlife here, DEAD! Just enjoy the peaceful and calm sound of the ocean!
